'American Ninja Warrior' is coming to Minnesota

The summer series will host a qualifying round at U.S. Bank Stadium in May.

MINNEAPOLIS - NBC is bringing "American Ninja Warrior" to Minnesota.

The annual competition series returns for its 10th season this year, with a qualifying round scheduled at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on May 25th and 26th.

The show features elite athletes and everyday people showing off their skills on obstacles like the warped wall and salmon ladder. This season, nearly 20 new obstacles are expected to be introduced for "Ninja Warrior" hopefuls.

A select group of qualifiers from Minneapolis will join finalists from other qualifying rounds across the country, looking for a spot in the National Finals in Las Vegas.

More details for competitors and audience members will be released in the coming weeks.

The 10th season of "American Ninja Warrior" airs this summer on KARE 11.
